La Maddalena Archipelago Tour

Experience your exclusive NaMar Charter tour in the waters of the Archipelago Park, amidst enchanting coves and endless shades of blue.

A myriad of islands and islets scattered in the crystalline waters between Corsica and Sardinia, within a protected marine area between the two sister islands. Rocks sculpted by winds, seabeds of indescribable beauty, teeming with life, where dolphins and turtles swim. The scent of the Mediterranean maquis fills the air, covering the islands like a fragrant cloak. Distant shores appear like mirages of pure beauty. Imagine having all this to yourself for an entire day: with our exclusive rib rental in Sardinia, it’s possible.

Forget the stress, embrace the experience, and glide over a transparent sea aboard a comfortable rib boat along one of the most beautiful coastlines in the Mediterranean. Our professional and friendly skippers will guide you, revealing secrets and curiosities about the stunning places you are about to explore.

Ready? Put on your swimsuit and sunglasses, bring a towel, a packed lunch, and a desire to be amazed: let’s set sail.

We depart from Punta Asfodeli, a beach south of Porto Rotondo, facing the Gulf of Cugnana, and head towards the island of Caprera. Destination: Cala Coticcio.

Caprera, once the home of Garibaldi, captivates with its blend of nature and culture, breathtaking landscapes, and history. Cala Coticcio, located in the northeastern part, embodies the island's wild essence.

A natural pool with fine white sand, sparkling like diamond dust, framed by shrubs and pink granite, and waters so clear and pristine that the cove is nicknamed "Tahiti." The truth is, Cala Coticcio is incomparable to any other place: its unique beauty must be experienced firsthand.

Our next stop is the Bay of Santa Maria, welcoming us with sandy seabeds and transparent waters. The uniformly flat island features a natural pond attracting numerous birds in spring, including the grey heron. Santa Maria is the only permanently inhabited island in the Archipelago besides La Maddalena, with a small cluster of houses, mostly summer residences. From the beach, you can see the small Church of the Assumption, the ancient remains of the Benedictine monastery, and the Punta Filetto lighthouse.

We glide through crystalline waters to reach the “sea square” between the islands of Razzoli, Budelli, and Santa Maria, the northernmost of the Archipelago, enclosing the splendid Bay of Porto Madonna, a sheltered inlet with postcard-perfect waters. Far from chaos and everyday life, enjoy the freedom of thoughts and routes. Between swims, sun, and a lunch break, time passes in the most pleasant way.

We now sail towards Spargi, an uninhabited and pristine island, famous for its fine, clear sand and turquoise waters. On the southeast side, two gems are set into the coast: Cala Corsara and Cala Granara. The first is the island's largest bay, with three delightful beaches; the central one hides a granite "tafoni" accessible and sculpted over millennia by water erosion. Ancient obsidian points, Roman wrecks on the seabed, and over two-century-old military forts attest to the long history of this snorkeling paradise.

Continuing, we reach the secluded Cala Granara, named after the grain once loaded onto ships here. Recognizable by the house on the beach, this small, beautiful bay is surrounded by high cliffs and lush Mediterranean vegetation, giving it an exotic and wild look. Swimming in these dreamlike waters is an unforgettable experience.

You are filled with light and beauty, gazing at coastlines and sea stretches, feeling content and at peace with the world. But there's still more to discover: one last corner of stunning beauty. Home to the Audouin's gull and the peregrine falcon, which nest undisturbed here, and numerous marine species, the island of Mortorio, despite its name, teems with life. Its jagged coasts dotted with beautiful coves are the culmination of a perfect day.

Located just over two miles from the shores of Costa Smeralda, opposite the Romazzino coastline, Mortorio is protected as an integral conservation area to preserve its environmental and scenic richness. With the island as a backdrop, take one last refreshing swim in the clear waters and toast to the wonderful day with a glass of sparkling wine before heading back to Punta Asfodeli.
